I have a passion for home. There’s a feeling you get from home that you simply can’t get anywhere else. It’s that sense of belonging, of being comforted and comfortable. Home is the place to unwind, exhale, and get cozy. It’s the place where you can be your “you-est you.”

I have a passion for words. Reading them, writing them, and exploring them. Words have always played a major role in my life. This passion for words led me to fulfill my dream of becoming a published author. I was thrilled to see three of my middle-grade novels published, and extra-thrilled when my debut won two industry awards. My books feature familiar themes of family, belonging, and - you guessed it - home.

I have a passion for community. I spent time as a 5th grade Language Arts teacher and truly loved my time in the classroom. Working with and encouraging students reinforced the importance of building community and creating a welcoming environment.
